Learn Bluebeam Revu skills for construction, architecture and engineering

Bluebeam has scheduled another series of practical 30-minute webinars teaching construction, architecture and engineering professionals how to use Bluebeam Revu.

“Whether you’re an experienced user looking for tips and tricks or just getting started, our Revu 101 webinar series will help you quickly get up to speed on key Bluebeam Revu features and workflows,” the company said.

Revu users joining the free series, happening in the afternoons UK time, can learn markup, measurement and drawing management basics on the Revu platform, kicking off with markup basics on Monday 14 September.

These tips can save you hundreds of hours,” according to Bluebeam. “Let us help you with the basics of making markups, changing properties, and adding them to your Tool Chest so your customisations are always within reach for an efficient workflow, right from home.”

Revu measurement basics will follow on Tuesday 15 September — register here to learn how to properly calibrate documents, use built-in takeoffs profiles for maximum efficiency and use the Markups List.

Sign up here for the session on drawing management basics, including what to do when pages aren’t in order or correctly oriented and you can’t make sense out of what goes where, on 16 September.

The final session will be on Bluebeam Studio on Thursday 17 September, encouraging cloud-based collaboration in two complementary ways. Register for this session here.

Bluebeam Studio Projects provides administrative control over all project related files and folders, allowing access to a number of file types on a check-in/check-out basis; Bluebeam Studio Sessions allows for live collaboration over PDF files in real time or on your own time, according to Bluebeam.

Bluebeam has just launched a 2020 version of Revu, its flagship project efficiency and collaboration software for architecture, engineering and construction professionals. Revu 20 delivers greater flexibility and control with improved user and content management capabilities aimed at increasing accuracy and saving time, according to its August announcement.

Jon Elliott, CEO of Bluebeam, said: “When we think of ‘teamwork’ on a construction project, we think about removing barriers through technology.

“When teams have the right solutions in place to work together seamlessly across distances and time zones, all of the investments an organisation makes in training, management and process development can be realised through clear and measurable improvements in quality, accuracy and efficiency.”
