Hornetsecurity expands M365 cloud security offer with Vade deal

Cloud email security provider Hornetsecurity has added a partnership with Vade, increasing focus on answering data sovereignty requirements with best-in-class cloud, compliance and digital communications security services.

Daniel Hofmann, chief executive officer of Hornetsecurity, said the partnership with French company Vade would strengthen its Microsoft 365 (M365) offering worldwide.

“While we will retain and strengthen our pan-European focus, we are committed to further investment in the French channel market, continuing the strong path Vade has paved over the last several years,” Hofmann said in the related announcement.

Georges Lotigier, chief executive officer at Vade, said Vade is like Hornetsecurity focused on developing and offering cloud email and messaging security services.

“By joining Hornetsecurity, we will pursue and accelerate this commitment by helping to deliver a wider array of top-tier solutions to the ever-expanding cybersecurity market in Europe and worldwide,” he said in the announcement.

The Hornetsecurity-Vade tie-up is expected to expand offerings in all markets, positioning Hornetsecurity as a “global reference” for cloud-based cybersecurity services, according to the announcement.

Vade’s leadership team would take new positions at Hornetsecurity, with Lotigier joining the Hornetsecurity board, the company said.

Daniel Blank, chief operating officer of Hornetsecurity, said the companies had similar values and commitment to core strengths.

“We also both adopt a channel-first approach,” he said.

Growth in use of cloud business solutions and collaboration tools against a backdrop of cybersecurity threat meant ongoing demand, Hornetsecurity noted, with additional products from Vade’s datacentre expected to become available in 2024.

Meanwhile, Vade customers will gain access to Hornetsecurity email encryption, archiving, security awareness services, backup and compliance services.

“Hornetsecurity has established itself as a key partner to organisations in protecting their IT infrastructure, digital communication and data with best-in-class cloud services and tailored next-gen security, compliance and backup solutions,” the vendor claimed.
