RMM provider N-able earns comparisons as a great place to work

US-based remote monitoring and management provider N-able — maker of N-able N-sight RMM — has taken home three workplace prizes from a careers website.

Kathleen Pai, chief people officer at N-able, said the gongs from Comparably showcase the vendor’s dedication to company culture and compensation.

The company won the Happiest Employees, Best Company Compensation, and Best Company Work-Life Balance awards for 2022.

“As a team, we are committed to continuously enhancing the employee experience as part of our goal to earn more fans, with our ‘N-able-ites’ being one of the most important groups of fans. These awards will serve as motivation for additional enhancements,” Pai said in the official announcement.

Jason Nazar, co-founder and chief executive officer of Comparably, said the multiple prizes were “testament” to N-able’s focus on providing a positive environment for workers.

“Overall employee happiness is a significant driver of company culture, recruitment, and [employee] retention,” he said.

According to N-able, Comparably is currently one of the fastest-growing compensation, culture, and career monitoring sites in the United States.

The Comparably Awards are based on anonymously provided employee sentiment ratings in multiple categories on Comparably.com in a 12-month period.

For the Happiest Employees prize, for example, criteria included “positive environment, fair pay, great benefits, excitement about work and co-workers, clear company goals and investment in them, pride in company”, according to the release.

The Best Compensation gong was based on “satisfaction with total compensation package”, including fair pay, raises, bonuses, benefits and stock/equity.

For Best Work-Life Balance, the chosen criteria were satisfaction with work-life balance — defined as comfort with average hours worked per day, lunch-break lengths, or if the employee feels burnt out, it said.

N-able targets IT services providers with software aimed at the monitor, manage, and secure aspects of systems, data, and networks.

This year saw it acquire cloud management provider Spinpanel and relaunch its RMM remote monitoring and management as N-able N-sight RMM, with a view to attracting more IT departments and MSPs as customers.

Mike Adler, chief technology officer at N-able, said at the time: “MSPs at varying levels of growth need the right tailored solution. We launched N-sight to help level the playing field.”

N-sight complements N-central, the vendor’s RMM offering focused more towards large or mature enterprises. It combines RMM in the cloud with Take Control remote support and MSP Manager for professional services automation.
