TeamViewer Tensor supports remote workers at commodities firm

Asset management consultancy Hartree Partners adopted TeamViewer Tensor as a key tool in the scaling of its remote business operations, covering some 600 employees worldwide.

According to TeamViewer, remote IT support enables the commodities, energy and finance focused firm to solve IT challenges and easily deploy or install machines compliantly across a mobile, distributed workforce.

“TeamViewer enables us to give 24/7 employee support. It gave us a unique, hands-on capability that we wouldn’t have been able to (have) otherwise with remote work,” said Hartree head of IT Brett Sklar in the TeamViewer case study.

New York headquartered Hartree Partners uses analytics and in-house expertise to develop insights for enterprises across some 20 business lines, in sectors such as energy, oil and gas, or chemicals manufacturing whether national and multi-national.

The firm aims to help its customers invest, assess risk, and devise strategies to grow their businesses.

Before Covid, Hartree Partners had about 350 employees, and only 50 working remotely. However, customer demand rose in 2020 – when the pandemic was declared – and the need for remote working expanded from 50 seats to 600 in a week.

That’s why it upgraded from TeamViewer Corporate to TeamViewer Tensor, the vendor said.

“TeamViewer Tensor enabled Hartree [Partners] to have a secure, scalable remote connectivity solution that helped their IT department provide effective, efficient and real-time support while ensuring their employees could securely access and remotely work from their home office or while on the move,” it said.

Quick and secure remote access helps Hartree minimise the time needed to resolve troubleshooting issues while supporting employees, it said, as well as deploying office and home PCs from 15 global offices.

“We should have switched sooner. Once we saw the capabilities and overall performance of the product, we realised it was the perfect fit for our company,” Sklar said.

TeamViewer offerings also integrate with various business IT solutions, such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, FreshWorks, ZenDesk, Slack, and ServiceNow.
