Arista NG Firewall wins in head-to-head review with Trend Micro

G2.com reviewers have rated Arista NG Firewall highly in an online comparison with Trend Micro TippingPoint, with users scoring NG Firewall 4.7 stars out of five versus the latter’s four.

According to G2.com, each score is calculated with real-time data from verified user reviews to help organisations choose between two options.

“When assessing the two solutions, reviewers found Arista NG Firewall easier to use and administer. Reviewers also felt that Arista NG Firewall was easier to do business with overall,” according to G2.com.

Arista NG Firewall was also preferred in terms of how it met their specific business needs and for quality of ongoing product support, it said.

However, reviewers rated the products as equally easy to set up and preferred the direction of Trend Micro TippingPoint’s feature updates and roadmaps versus the Arista offering.

NG Firewall had been reviewed a total 17 times on the website at the time of writing; TippingPoint 23 times.

Reviewers of both Arista NG Firewall and Trend Micro TippingPoint were most often representing companies in the small business segment, according to G2.com.

Arista Networks, Inc is set to release financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2023 after U.S. markets close on Monday 31 July 2023. A press release will be posted on the investor relations section of the Arista website, the vendor said.

Arista has also announced dates for a series of technical “deep dive” CloudBuilders events worldwide.

The EMEA editions of the one-day engineer-focused meetings for peers and colleagues are scheduled for 7 September in London, UK; 12 September in Warsaw, Poland; 26 September in Copenhagen, Denmark; 3 October in Stockholm, Sweden; 4 October in Madrid, Spain; 11 October in Utrecht, Netherlands; 18 October in Paris, France; 19 October in Vienna, Austria; 24 October in an unnamed city in Germany; 24 October in Milan, Italy; and 26 October in Helsinki, Finland.

A meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa is set for 12 October and one in Istanbul, Turkey on 31 October 2023.

According to Arista, the events will examine Arista platforms and solutions, including demonstrations of EOS and CloudVision features and discussions of AI/ML, devops, network fabrics, automation, analytics, security, datacentre and routing solutions alongside its Cognitive Campus concept.
