Nitro still leads field in e-signatures: GigaOm analysis

An annual analyst report has named editable digital documentation specialist Nitro a leader in e-signatures software for the second year in a row.

The GigaOm Radar Report for 2023 singled out Nitro for its “extensive security, compliance, seamless customer experience and best-in-class pricing”, the vendor explained in its related announcement.

Sam Thorpe, chief product officer at Nitro, said that businesses of all sizes around the world benefit from the ability of e-signature technology to assist agility, efficiency and productivity.

“There’s far more to our e-signature solutions than just enabling people to sign documents on their devices. Nitro has done the hard work behind the scenes to deliver an easy-to-use, high-trust solution that ensures our customers have the proper security, can avoid fraud and stay compliant,” Thorpe said.

According to the GigaOm analysts, an e-signature solution must not only support the core e-signature processes of preparation, distribution and execution but extensive compliance support, scaleability, and flexibility across countries, languages and interfaces.

“Functionality that simply allows a user to draw a signature on a document is not sufficient to be considered in this report,” they wrote in the report.

“Businesses are looking for end-to-end process capabilities rather than standalone solutions. In other words, e-signatures are viewed as a core component of broader document management suites, potentially not something an enterprise would purchase on its own.”

Not only did Nitro offer direct eID verification integration for over 30 jurisdictions but also market-leading data field configuration and analytics functionality, with automation and digitisation abilities across document workflows and best-in-class pricing tiers that had minimal add-on fees, according to the announcement.

In the 2023 report, GigaOm also rated Zoho Sign, SignNow, Adobe Acrobat Sign, Box Sign, Citrix RightSignature, Foxit eSign, DocuSign, Dropbox Sign, GetAccept, OneSpan, PandaDoc, SignEasy and Eversign.

It analysed each vendor offering and examined ways to choose e-signature applications for SMB and enterprise requirements.

“The global adoption of e-signatures took off during the pandemic, and it only continues to accelerate,” Thorpe added. “Nitro delivers a seamless customer experience, as the GigaOm Radar Report attests.”

Nitro in mid-March updated its SaaS e-signature and PDF documentation offerings with new features, enhancements and bug fixes.
