Remote access provider AnyDesk has announced US motor racing team FastMD Racing as a customer.
According to Cariann Tanner, writing for AnyDesk, its remote-access technology has been implemented by the premier car racing team to speed up collaboration for better communications wherever they are working.
JD Mersinger, vice president of global operations at AnyDesk, said that Florida-based FastMD Racing, known for its motorsports excellence, was enjoying benefits to efficiency and performance from the software.
“In a sport where seconds count, FastMD’s engineers and data strategists leverage AnyDesk’s lightning-fast software to relay information to optimise track time and machinery performance,” Mersinger said. “We’re excited to see the results of this partnership on the track.”
Remi Lanteigne, team principal of FastMD Racing, confirmed that AnyDesk technology has already helped them run a more efficient operation.
“It has played a significant role in our success on the track,” Lanteigne said.
FastMD Racing has competed in various premier motorsports and sportscar events, achieving seven podium finishes and three wins in several classes.
AnyDesk remote desktop software has been downloaded millions of times, according to the company. Version 7.1 was rolled out in October 2022.
The company is based in Germany and boasts 100,000 customers across some 190 countries, including Google, McDonald’s and Bosch.
The vendor is working on making remote-access offerings more appealing to large enterprises seeking to increase productivity, with improved software architecture and user interface.
Version 7.1 is complemented by version II of the my.anydesk management console, aimed at simplifying secure admin of user accounts and access.
Non-commercial users are also given the option to create an AnyDesk account, which allows access to functionalities such as the address book, the company said at the time.
