TeamViewer launches global partner programme to tempt channel

TeamViewer, the vendor of enterprise remote access tool TeamViewer Tensor, has unveiled its first global channel partner programme.

Jan Junker, executive vice president – solution sales at TeamViewer, said channel sales are an “important part” of its strategy, helping it benefit from local expertise and networks.

“We are always striving to improve collaboration with our channel eco-system,” he said in the announcement.

“We will actively join forces with our partners and direct sales organisation to deliver the best experience.”

The company did not say why it had chosen to roll out a partner-programme initiative at this time.

The programme, dubbed TeamUP, is online portal-based. It seeks to attract the full gamut of partners, whether resellers, distributors, referral partners, MSPs or systems integrators, regardless of their TeamViewer solution focus.

Tiered benefits include exclusive discounts, dedicated support and “comprehensive” sales training and certifications as well as a deal registration engine and marketing materials, the Göppingen, Germany based vendor said.

Partners can request benefits directly via the platform, it said.

The TeamViewer Tensor remote access offering is device-agnostic and single sign-on (SSO). Aimed at the enterprise, it supports large-scale deployment and activity logging, with granular control of remote devices, access, user groups and roles.

The Frankfurt stock exchange listed company has also invested in offerings in the AI, augmented reality (AR) and Internet of Things (IoT) spaces.
