Ex Hub Security exec jumps into chief information officer role at JFrog

Former NSO Group and Hub Security executive Aran Azarzar has leaped into a new role as head of the information technology organisation at devops automation specialist JFrog.

Shlomi Ben Haim, co-founder and chief executive at US-based JFrog, said Azarzar brings with him “vast experience” in modernising systems and organisations.

“Under his leadership JFrog’s internal systems will accelerate, optimise and have a direct impact on JFrog business infrastructure for our community and customers,” Ben Haim said in the announcement.

Azarzar, whose 20 years in the IT/cybersecurity space also included stints at companies like Amdocs and Zerto, is set to lead strategy and operations for JFrog’s information technology organisation, reporting directly to Ben Haim.

At Israel-based cybersecurity firm Hub Security, he worked on the global systems and technology strategy for improving applications and security processes, resulting in “outstanding operational performance and a better customer experience”, according to JFrog.

The Nasdaq-listed company expected Azarzar to oversee development of its IT infrastructure for cloud, business intelligence and data management, enhancing its ability to scale and deliver value to customers.

“He will also lead a security-first approach to IT operations and determine how the organisation can use its technological prowess to speed time-to-market and outperform competitors,” according to JFrog.

Azarzar said JFrog has a reputation for culture and security commitment. “JFrog powers the software that runs the world,” he said, adding that one focus would be trying to stay continuously ahead of emerging technologies.

The JFrog cloud-based software supply chain platform, available through EMEA channels, is intended to function as a “single system of record” that helps organisations build, manage, and distribute software, while helping identify and remediate threats and vulnerabilities.
