ITSM vendor SolarWinds has been talking up the need for greater visibility in cloud for months — and now it has officially launched its Observability offering targeting hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Sudhakar Ramakrishna, president and chief executive officer at SolarWinds, said this latest SaaS offering — SolarWinds Observability — can support every customer regardless of where they are on their cloud journey.
“[It] is our most impactful observability solution to date,” he said in the press announcement.
Ramakrishna indicated the offering should assist devops, security ops, cloud ops, and IT ops professionals in their struggles to securely manage complex IT environments.
Rohini Kasturi, chief product officer at SolarWinds, said that its Hybrid Cloud Observability and SolarWinds Observability offerings give customers flexibility to deploy on a private cloud, public cloud, or as a service.
“We’re also simplifying our business model with node-based licensing and tier-based entitlements to support customers of all sizes,” Kasturi said.
“We’re laying the foundation for autonomous operations through both monitoring and observability solutions.”
According to SolarWinds, the new fully integrated, Azure or AWS cloud-native SolarWinds Observability platform delivers comprehensive visibility.
“The new SaaS platform blends SolarWinds observability solutions across network, infrastructure, systems, application, database, digital experience, and log monitoring in one end-to-end solution across private and public clouds with single-pane-of-glass visibility,” the vendor explained in the press announcement.
The company at the same time announced a new version of its Hybrid Cloud Observability offering for customer datacentres and hybrid environments, incorporating better anomaly detection capabilities, it said.
“Hybrid Cloud Observability enables SolarWinds customers to migrate from on-premises to SaaS at their own pace,” the company said.
