Cloud-native endpoint management provider Automox has begun a push into global markets with moves to develop the UK partner channel, alongside expansion in Europe, Australia, and – soon – Singapore and the Middle East.
Tim Lucas, chief executive of Automox, headquartered in the US state of Colorado, said customers need an easier way to keep end points patched and secure with the growth of hybrid working and distributed teams.
“We have extremely strong relationships with our partner community, including Rapid7, and broaden that network in the UK with our new QBS Technology Group (distributor) relationship,” Lucas said.
Automox wants to cement its position “at the forefront” of cloud-native IT operations (ITops) management software provision by growing its customers, many of whom have previously had to rely on multiple endpoint management tools, the announcement said.
According to a survey by the vendor, 60% of industry professionals may be relying on more than 10 different endpoint management tools.
Using one tool that works across different platforms instead of several, IT admins can potentially patch critical vulnerabilities faster, which should help control costs.
The news follows Automox’s release of automated vulnerability remediation (AVR) in June, which was the result of a collaboration with cybersecurity vendor Rapid7.
Corey Bodzin, senior vice president of product at Automox, said in the related announcement that with Rapid7, Automox AVR made vulnerability identification and remediation a seamless part of IT operations, not a “crazy, hair-on-fire drill” for secops and ITops teams.
“Tedious and repetitive manual tasks combined with constant fire drills and mixed messages between departments are making vulnerability remediation harder than it needs to be,” Bodzin said.
