MSPs targeted with uSecure course builder features to boost cyber risk management

New in May from human risk management (HRM) provider uSecure is an array of enhancements to help channel partners tackle the critical human factor in cybersecurity.

The monthly MSP and partner roundup showcased improvements to its Course Builder offering and upcoming courses, uSecure’s Micke Ahola reported.

“We’ve updated the uLearn Course Builder with some new features to make it easier than ever for you to deploy custom courses for your customers,” Ahola said.

The HRM specialist’s uLearn Course Builder now includes an Access Control tab for customer selection and previews on the Edit Course page.

Partners can also keep track of user Auto Enrol schedules by clicking on user pop-ups and scrolling down and choose Microsoft 365 authentication types for all Global Administrator-enabled accounts, Ahola said.

The news follows the inclusion of the new National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) e-learning package ‘Top Tips for Staff’ in uSecure’s cybersecurity awareness training platform.

Because insider risk is on the rise as the average workplace struggles to stay on top of proliferating cyberattacks, uSecure targets HRM as a key way to boost the cybersecurity posture for all sizes of business.

Verizon’s annual data breach report has suggested that 85% of data breaches involve the human element, with negligent employees causing 62% of security incidents, according to uSecure’s Guide to Reducing Human Cyber Risk in 2022.

The vendor said that cyber attacks were estimated to take place every 11 seconds in 2021, costing the average enterprise millions, especially with attacks typically taking 200 days to detect — suggesting that many organisations need to boost their in-house training and education programmes.

uSecure also provides tools that auto-scan domains and the dark web for threats and breaches, and can carry out simulated phishing programmes to help train staff, it said.
