Lenovo has added three Intel oneAPI templates to its new intelligent orchestration software.
According to Intel Software, the vendor has released a new version of its Lenovo Intelligent Computing Orchestration (LiCO) solution, including three Intel tools — MPI, MPITune and OpenMP — to assist developers building AI applications for the latest Intel processors.
“LiCO is a software solution that simplifies the use of clustered computing resources for AI model development and training,” according to Intel.
“The unified platform simplifies interaction with the underlying compute resources, enabling customers to take advantage of popular open source cluster tools while reducing the effort and complexity of using it for AI.”
The three oneAPI-based templates in the LiCO update are optimised for Intel processors.
According to Lenovo, the open source software orchestration stack interface facilitates the convergence of AI onto an HPC or Kubernetes-based cluster.
Intel’s oneAPI tools include native code toolkits for building, testing and optimising data-centric applications across specialised “XPU” processors, including GPUs and FPGAs as well as other more specialised processors.
Intel Software offerings also include the DevCloud development sandbox, the Intel oneAPI Base Toolkit, including the new DPC++ programming language, as well as familiar C, C++, and Fortran languages, and domain-specific toolkits for specialised workloads, and toolkits aimed at end-to-end machine learning and data analytics pipelines.
