Netsparker and Acunetix web scanning apps get design and brand revamp

Invicti Security – the parent brand of web scanners Acunetix and Netsparker – has flagged changes to its product design and user experience as part of a rebranding effort.

Kelly Davis-Felner, writing for Invicti Security, said the web application security company was making changes to better serve its customers, partners and the industry.

“Our products and web presence will adopt an updated design system that will continue to improve the user experience,” Davis-Felner said.

There would also be new branding — but separate Acunetix and Netsparker brands would continue to exist, the news release from Invicti indicated.

Netsparker dynamic application security testing software (DAST) automates web crawling and scanning for legacy and modern web applications, including advanced API scanning and a dedicated JavaScript engine as well as the ability to authenticate and scan password-protected sites and apps.

Acunetix is an end-to-end web application vulnerability scanner for websites, web applications and APIs.

Invicti will be exhibiting at the RSA Conference 2021 from 17 to 20 May. Channel partners and customers are invited to talks by technical solutions engineer Mark Schembri (‘Beyond DAST: A DAST-First Tool with IAST Depth’), and sales manager Cooper Herrera (‘Five Steps to Secure Your Web Assets’).
