LogMeIn nabs Salesforce marketer Jamie Domenici for global push

Remote connectivity specialist LogMeIn has named a new marketing chief to spearhead further gains from the worldwide explosion in virtualised and online activity, both at work and in homes.

LogMeIn’s new chief marketing officer Jamie Domenici, formerly global vice president of customer adoption, marketing and business development at Salesforce, took the reins of the cloud company’s 200-strong global marketing team in early January 2021.

“While the past [2020] year brought many challenges, one of the unexpected benefits was a widespread acceptance of remote work across many industries and geographies. LogMeIn is a pioneer in the work-from-anywhere space and I wanted to be part of a company that empowers people to navigate and thrive in these times,” Domenici said in the press announcement.

Domenici’s remit will cover customer and product marketing, acquisition marketing, marketing operations, corporate communications, branding, and e-commerce at LogMeIn.

She will be expected to drive demand for the company’s suite of products via paid and organic channels to new and existing customers, and enhance the company’s web properties in aid of promotion and self-service transactions, according to LogMeIn.

During her ten years at Salesforce, she worked to transform business models and bring cloud software to SMBs in particular, leading all post-sales adoption and onboarding grounded in customer success for every customer.

Bill Wagner, president and chief executive officer at LogMeIn, said Domenici had high-level experience of leading sophisticated, customer-centric, multi-channel teams.

“With Jamie’s experience, we gain a strategic partner to drive the reimagined go-to-market evolution of our company, someone who also brings a deep understanding of customers and valuable leadership experience with cross-functional marketing and sales teams,” Wagner said.

According to Gerry Beuchelt, chief information security officer at LogMeIn, the company’s diverse suite of SaaS offerings for remote connectivity needs are well placed to help protect and secure data and information for users, wherever and whenever they work.

“Now more than ever, people and businesses are relying on remote work and meeting tools to connect and collaborate with teams, customers, and prospects, even students and family and friends,” he said.

“We’re seeing a surge in usage of all products that help remote workers and remote IT teams stay productive.”

Products include GoToMeeting, LastPass, LogMeIn Rescue, RescueLens and Bold360. LogMeIn Rescue Live Guide and LastPass were named winners in the Best in Biz Awards for 2020, a US awards programme judged by journalists from publications including the Associated Press and the Wall Street Journal.

Boston, US-based LogMeIn has some 3,500 global employees and an annual turnover of around $1.3 billion.
