Nitro named a top SMB tool for digital workplaces post-Covid

Software from e-document management specialist Nitro has been named as one of seven digital tools that every small-business owner will need post-Covid-19 by Australian title Inside Small Business.

In the article by communications specialist Felicia Coco, Nitro‘s Nitro Sign, a standalone electronic signature solution for signing e-documents on any device, rubs shoulders with payments solution GoCardless, social media video software ClipChamp, and people management platform Employment Hero.

“Businesses are now on the lookout for the digital tools that will help arm them in a post-COVID-19 world,” writes Coco. “Here are some of the best digital tools we’ve used to run and grow our business online during the pandemic.”

Nitro Sign is available on its own in unlimited form or via the full Nitro Productivity Suite, promising legally binding and US compliant e-signature functionality for individuals and businesses alike.

Gina O’Reilly, chief operating officer at Nitro, wrote in an AusBizMag article that software that assists productivity across the emerging and increasingly virtualised digital workplace can help attract and retain employees too.

“Without an office, businesses will have to think outside the box and come up with new ways to attract candidates,” she noted. “With homes now becoming personal offices, it’s crucial to provide new hires, as well as all team members, with adequate work setups.”

Digitising paperwork so employees don’t have to print, scan, or fax important documents and can keep track of everything electronically instead can be one part of an effective strategy in the new normal, O’Reilly said.

Nitro’s 2020 Future of Work report found that 56% of remote workers were still printing, although 60% did not have a printer at home. This means employees are going out of their way to get work done, according to this Nitro blog post, which also talks about the sustainability benefits of going paperless.
