DocuSign staff work from home after Momentum event goes virtual

Staff at DocuSign‘s Seattle office will work from home until the end of March, joining the Tokyo office in the remote working revolution taking place in response to the spread of COVID-19 infection.

DocuSign’s chief people officer Joan Burke and chief trust and security officer Emily Heath made the announcement on their blog.

“The safety and wellbeing of our employees, their families and the community continues to be of paramount importance to DocuSign,” they wrote.

“We have continued to monitor the developments around the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) situation around the world. Our infrastructure can support this approach, and we remain committed to serving the needs of our customers and partners.”

DocuSign is also taking most events and meetings virtual, pausing participation in large third-party events, and has cancelled all non-essential domestic and international travel.

DocuSign’s customer and partner event Momentum on 4 March had already been converted into a two-hour live stream.

“Since then, we have expanded the team that is focused on this issue, we have learned more, and we are now implementing additional measures to protect the health and safety of our employees, their families and their communities,” Burke and Heath wrote.

Offices around the world will remain open so staff can work there if they choose – except in Japan, where the office has been closed according to government guidance.

“Our cross-functional team will continue to monitor the situation around the clock, and we will evolve our approach as new information becomes available. We will also continue to share regular updates,” they said.
