How Vyond video can improve corporate training sessions

We’ve all heard about employees dragging their feet when it comes to workplace education and training sessions. Stacy Adams, blogging for Vyond, explains how incorporating creative videos and animations can assist.

“Although methods have improved, employers still struggle to provide trainings that truly engage audiences and give them what they need – when, where, and how they need it,” says Adams.

The way to improve the success of corporate training in 2020 – and beyond – might come down to things that are simple and seemingly obvious, yet hard for companies to implement on their own.

Training sessions should present information in a positive way, treating staff as human beings – rather than “churning out” a list of what they shouldn’t do.

“All the new tech and tools in the world won’t help if you don’t have a solid foundation – an authentic message, personalised specifically for your audience,” writes Adams.

“Once you have that basis, you can think about the best medium to convey the message and oftentimes, that medium is video.”

Video can help keep things simple, engaging and understandable, as well as help employees focus on the key components of the message.

“It’s also easy to personalise your message (with video) so that the training is relatable and connects to your audience,” Adams says.

Matt Moran, a public speaking coach, says he uses Vyond software to help build his online courses.

Vyond’s ease of use and storytelling capabilities are only one reason Moran adopted video. In addition, combining the animations with ‘live action’ can break up the session, helping keep the audience engaged, according to Vyond.
