Bluebeam, a niche developer serving the architectural, engineering and construction industries, has released a new version of Revu, its flagship project efficiency and collaboration solution.
“Revu 2019 focuses on efficiency and performance with accelerated rendering, enhanced measurement functionality and a powerful configuration tool,” the company said in its announcement.
Its features and tools were designed specifically to boost productivity, improve measurement accuracy and streamline deployment across organisations, according to Bluebeam CEO Jon Elliott.
“Bluebeam’s very reason for existence is to empower the hardworking people who design and build our world,” he said.
Revu’s cloud-based collaborative workflows keep teams on the same page through the design process, helping to move the project forward during construction while preserving important project data through handover and beyond. The new version promises smoother performance, faster panning and zooming of complex linework, using a new hardware-accelerated rendering engine.
This helps its 1.6 million users achieve critical accountability at every step, from the competitive bid process to final delivery, Bluebeam said in its announcement.
