M365 migration tools company ShareGate is preparing to launch a new partner programme with a ‘levelling up’ webinar on 2 October.
Partners on the new programme will be helped to “scope faster, deliver with confidence, and unlock more revenue”, the vendor said.
“We’re also rolling out partner-exclusive tools that make it easier to scope migration projects and manage long-term governance through diagnostics and remediation,” ShareGate said. Sign up for the webinar here.
“You’ll see how they help you quote faster, kick off projects sooner, and deliver with confidencewhile unlocking more service revenue.”
Microsoft MVP and ShareGate strategic alliances and ecosystem manager Richard Harbridge will also demonstrate new migration assessment and governance risk assessment tools.
According to ShareGate’s State of Microsoft 365 report for 2025, 82% of IT teams have the genAI tool Copilot either deployed or in pilot.
Yet many admit they’re still untangling data security and governance questions. Organisations need clean, properly labelled content to benefit from genAI, the vendor pointed out.
“Which means migrations that once felt optional now sit on the critical path to productivity gains,” ShareGate said in the report.
M365 migration tools help get cloud moves right
The report surveyed 650 IT professionals. ShareGate said their “common thread” was a “limited runway and unlimited pressure to get cloud moves right the first time”.
Meanwhile, Microsoft would end support, including patches, fixes and helpdesk support, for SharePoint 2016 and 2019 in July 2026.
“From that day forward, every fresh vulnerability remains wide open, making on‑prem a low‑effort target for ransomware,” the vendor said.
As a result, cyber-insurance premiums would spike or coverage be denied. Also, support is often needed to pass compliance audits. More organisations would seek to migrate or upgrade, ShareGate noted.
In addition, 80% expected a merger or acquisition (M&A) within two years. Some 87% ofrespondents said they would involve partners to perform related M365 migrations, ShareGate said.
