Java-alternative vendor Azul reckons providers will gain from expanding their Java services, so it’s rolling out a partner programme for Intelligence Cloud.
Simon Taylor, vice president of global channel and alliances at Azul, said Java estates continue to expand across myriad deployment environments.
“The cost, time and resources required to get the right licensing and security insights for compliance-oriented decision-making can be enormous,” he said, announcing the programme.
As a result, Azul would give partners full managed access to its Azul Intelligence Cloud, Taylor said.
“We’re equipping them to deliver turnkey services. They can put clear, actionable reporting and insights into their customers’ hands.”
Managed services providers (MSPs) could use Azul Intelligence Cloud to mitigate license audit risk and cost for their customers. In addition, they could use it to find critical vulnerabilities and save resources.
MSP partners can expand Java services
At the same time, MSPs could harness Azul Intelligence Cloud to identify unused and dead code for removal across a Java estate.
MSPs could embed Azul Intelligence Cloud’s Java inventory, vulnerability and code use analytics directly into their Java advisory, license management, security operations and devops services.
Also, they gained sub-licensing and white-label rights to Azul Intelligence Cloud’s SaaS features.
Intelligence Cloud telemetry could be packaged into Java license compliance advisories, modernisation initiatives and managed reconfiguration services.
Partners could deliver reporting and analytics across customer Java fleets. That included active Java virtual machines (JVMs) from Oracle Java, Azul, or any OpenJDK distribution, the announcement said.
In addition, partners might handle onboarding, lightweight agent deployment, data ingestion, alert configuration and scheduled reporting.
