All users can now work with Miro Slides — and further Miro updates include improvements to Docs, Tables and more.
In a summary, Miro’s Natalia Toborek said that Miro has expanded the capabilities of its Intelligent Canvas virtual whiteboarding and collaboration platform. The vendor launched genAI enablement, including for Docs and Tables, last year.
“Miro Slides is now available to all users, making it easy to turn anything you’re working on into an interactive presentation,” Toborek wrote.
“Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch in another tool, just reorder frames on your Miro board, and you’re set.”
Also, you can add tools aimed at improving in engagement, such as polls or quizzes.
“Your slides live on the canvas alongside all your other work. You can zoom out anytime to see the big picture or dive deeper into the details,” she added. Click here for a YouTube walkthrough.
Turning ideas into polished presentations, organised plans, and next steps is often difficult for teams, Toborek said.
Therefore Miro’s focus was on helping workers convert ideas into practice. For example, by better tracking progress, or keeping teams better aligned, she said.
Further Miro updates in July
In addition, the same monthly announcement hailed updates to Miro Docs and Miro Tables. Miro Docs is about “capturing and organising ideas” faster, she indicated.
“We’ve added a + button in Miro Docs that opens the slash (“/”) menu in just one click. Insert blocks like headings, lists, checkboxes, and more,” Toborek wrote.
Also, you can now type a phrase like “@tomorrow” or “@next week” to add a date to your document. and you can drag-and-drop Microsoft Word documents with embedded images directly into Miro.
In Miro Tables, new abilities include applying formulae to records in tables. For instance, to multiply column values.
“Quickly score features based on impact or effort, weigh project trade-offs, and figure out sprint capacity right on the planning board,” she wrote.
Right now, that’s only for Business or Enterprise plans, however.
Miro has also integrated Tables with various task management tools — such as Asana, Trello, or ClickUp.
“Bring all your tasks together,” she said. “Changes sync automatically, so you can track progress.”
Other updates include two factor authentication (2FA) for paid plans.
In addition, Miro has rolled out embeddable, live Miro content for Microsoft and Google screenshots.
For instance, to drop wireframes into a stakeholder deck, or add an editable flowchart in support documents, Toborek explained. Click here for more updates.
