LiveNX voted testing/monitoring product of the year

LiveAction LiveNX from Bluecat Networks took home the top testing/monitoring product award for 2025 at this year’s Network Computing Awards in London, UK.

The solution beat out NetAlly’s LinkRunner AT 3000, according to the awardwinners announcement. Bluecat brands also took runner-up spots for network infrastructure product of the year, network automation product of the year and bench-tested product of the year.

The vendor bills LiveNX as “the industry’s most advanced network performance monitoring (NPM) solution”. Bluecat acquired LiveAction, developer of LiveNX, in October 2024.

LiveNX lets organisations see across on-premises, SD-WAN, cloud, and hybrid networks.

And it offers data-enabled insights so IT teams can understand what’s happening across their network as it happens. It offers detailed analysis of flow data to reveal network traffic patterns and bandwidth usage.

Also, it means IT professionals can proactively detect, troubleshoot and remedia problems, the vendor says.

Why testing/monitoring matters for businesses

If your NPM cannot match your troubleshooting workflow, adding additional tools can create new areas of concern, according to LiveAction.

That represents more potential for mistakes and a requirement for more training on various platforms. In addition, there can be mismatched or duplicated troubleshooting steps and actions, with tool workflows that clash with other tasks.

LiveNX network performance monitoring goes beyond simply visualising devices, interfaces, applications, VPNs, and users,” LiveAction says.

“By overlaying network and application data on top of network topology, LiveNX delivers a clear virtual network model.”

Bluecat also recently showcased more “next generation” netops solutions at Cisco Live in the USA.

“A key challenge faced by networking teams is to efficiently and effectively manage disparate infrastructure across multiple environments,” noted Brandon Butler, IDC Senior Research Manager for Enterprise Networks.

“BlueCat’s DDI management and network observability solutions help teams overcome these challenges by providing intelligent visibility and analytics.”

Data can be correlated with changes occurring across the network and on individual devices, enabling teams to maintain reliability and accelerate transformation initiatives, Butler said.
