Customers rate Sectigo for security certificate management

The G2 Summer 2025 Grid Reports have confirmed Sectigo as a leader in security certificate management.

Reviewers gave US-based Sectigo’s security certificate lifecycle management (CLM) offering top honours, the vendor said.

“For nine consecutive quarters, Sectigo earned leader status in both the CLM and SSL/TLS categories,” Sectigo’s announcement said.

As part of the reviews process, customers rated Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) as a top platform for marking websites as technically trustworthy.

Sectigo CLM was awarded nods for usability too, the vendor noted. Click here for an overall view.

Additionally, Dena Bauckman, senior vice president of product at Sectigo, said: “Customers rely on Sectigo as their single solution for navigating industry changes like the [recently announced] shift to 47-day security certificate lifespans.”

“Also, as a practical, trusted solution to manage those changes at scale, we’re honoured to be recognized as an innovation leader.”

The CA/Browser Forum’s approval of a 47-day maximum term for SSL/TLS certificate lifespans by 2029 will increase the security certificates burden on organisations.

Initially, from 15 March 2026, security certificates must be renewed every 200 days. Then the validity period will be reduced.

As a result, organisations might do well to think about improving CLM in advance, to avoid disrupted e-commerce and online activities.

According to Sectigo, G2’s regular Grid Reports reflect user satisfaction ratings from verified customer reviews and market presence data.

Security certificate management – across lifecycles

And with Sectigo’s Sectigo Certificate Manager (SCM) platform, organisations can manage their digital certificates throughout their validity. That’s across human and machine identities too.

With shorter certificate lifespans, manual management of renewals will be onerous, Sectigo noted.

“With SCM you can automate the discovery, issuance, deployment, and management of Sectigo certificates. That’s alongside those from other certificate authorities (CAs),” it said.

That includes both publicly trusted and private CAs. Examples include Microsoft AD CS, Google Certificate Authority Service, or AWS Private CA.

In addition, Sectigo boasts some 50 technology integrations. Partners number the likes of Apple, Microsoft, Adobe, Google, AWS, F5 and Servicenow.
