Privileges and identities management from Delinea is leveraging cybersecurity and compliance enhancements via a partnership with Utimaco.
As a result, Delinea Secret Server would be integrated with Utimaco’s u.trust General Purpose HSM Se-Series.
Chris Kelly, president at Delinea, said their combined solutions will deliver control, visibility, and confidence when securing human and machine identities. Accordingly, this should enhance protection for sensitive credentials and company secrets.
“We’re reinforcing principles of least privilege,” Kelly said. “It’s more than just a technical integration. This is a shared vision for securing human and machine identities in the age of AI.”
In addition, Cindy Provin, chief security officer at Utimaco, confirmed the u.trust GP HSM Se-Series can be upgraded for quantum.
This would be with [the US’s] National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standardised post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms.
The need for identities management
Because compromises can occur in minutes or even seconds, organisations increasingly need to streamline key management while reducing attack surfaces.
At the same time as hacking, ransomware and breach attempts are becoming more sophisticated, regulatory requirements are getting tougher, the announcement said.
“By integrating Utimaco’s HSM, organisations can store sensitive admin passwords in Secret Server while Utimaco’s HSMs protect those credentials,” it said.
